this unit was not that difficult...only a little confusing with the different steps for different operations....though it was a little confusing, I think this test will be a little hard, but still easy at the same time, you know what i mean? =]

I think overall, this unit was okay for me. There were times when i didn't understand it, and it took me awhile to understand, but now i finally do. I think that i should do well on this test, or atleast "okay".. but like i said before, i always tend to do bad on my tests, but i understand the exercises. Hopefully I do well, and goodluck to all.. this was the hardest unit for me, so far. i get confused when factoring trinomials, especially when the constant of x squared is not 1. i guess it really takes practice to learn how to deal with these problems. i hope to do well on our test later. good luck to all! happy holidays! :]

This unit has been the toughest one so far. Missing classes is not at all good. Everything is hard for me partly because i've been too distracted. Anyway, that's all i can say, i'm worried for tomorrow, hopefully i pass. At first it was easy, I knew what i was doing. then fractions, divisions, multiplication, adding, subtracting and equal signs are put together and i started getting confused of which to do first, or to do next, should i do this or that. Yes, I didn't forget to blog this time. LOL Well the Rational Expressions unit was pretty hard. But with enough practice I actually got it. But some of it is still hard and some are easy like Solving Rational Expressions. I hope I do well on this test. Wow, I can't believe we have our test on the last day of school. Oh well. I still have to fnnish my math homework and get it signed. -_-This unit is kind of easy. At least I get it a lot more than the past unit.I think I finally get how to do line questions! I know, shocker. I just realized that you have to insert the numbers in the right equation... I'm not blonde! =D Yeah, well at least I have the adding and subtracting questions down.I'll just have to think harder for the multiplication and subtraction ones. Reflection : Rational Expressions

Well, I still need to finish the expert blog thingy then finish all my math homework. This unit was pretty, not just the formulas but also the fact tat we were given a pile of English projects in a short period of time. I hope doing my homework might help me study but yeah... well this unit ....I have many doubts in but in this test I will try my hardest seriously! Tomorrow is our test =/ This unit was pretty straight forward in my opinion. The only difficulties I had with this unit was having to remember what to do first. Like, I had some trouble remember whether or not I was supposed to mulitply things first and common denominators, but I think a little bit of reviewing and working on some of those practice questions will help me a lot for the test in order for me to do well for tomorrow test. What sucks is it's on the last day of school !!

maaaaan, test on the last day ? right now, i should study. haha and do all my assignments. this unit MIGHT be easy.. but theen, since i have too much hw, i need to review my stuff and finish everything. ahaha, and yes pj. this MIGHT be the test i beat you in :D haha.

3/2+7/4 first: find the common denominator
6/4+7/4 2nd: when you already get the 2 which is the denominator ,multiply it with 3and 2
13/4 3rd: that will be the answer



6/x +7/2x first: find the common denominator
2(6/x)+7/2x 2nd: when you already get the 2 which is the denominator ,multiply it with 6and x
19/2x 3rd: that will be the answer


4/x+3 -5/x-2 first: find the common denominator
x-2(4/x+3) - x+3(5/x-2)2nd : multiply x-2 to 4/x+3 and multiply the x+3 to 5/x-2
4x-8-5x-15/(x-2)(x+3) 3rd: simplify them
-x-23/((x-2)(x+3) 4th :that will be the answer



just always remember that any expression should be simplified before you add it or subtract it.

and if the denominator is like this x2 +2x-15 always factor it then cancel.

Ugh...... this test couldn't have come at a better time (can you see the sarcasm?) LMFAO. tmrw just happens to be the day when I have a geo test, a science booklet due, and a writer's workshop due. XD but hey, what can you do about it?

anyways, this unit was actually pretty easy! i thought it was gonna be reasonably hard because of the previous lessons. but i still did learn some new things like volume of a cone and sphere and surface area of a shpere. One of the most interesting things for me that i learned was the relationship between the area and sides and the whole factors thing. I think i'll do well on this test as long as i dont blank out becasue there were a lot of formulas to remember. but anyways, good luck to all!

P.S. Al if you wanna beat me, this might be the test, but you better try hard because i'm gonna be giving it my all. =D

I hated this unit! I don't know why but there was just something about it I didn't really like. I had some difficulty with that volume/area lesson, I was entirely confused. Besides from that lesson, I felt it was okay. Well the test is tomorrow so.. good luck?

This unit was kind of easy. Certainly a lot more enjoyable than the previous one. I got most of this unit except for a few of the questions but I'm pretty positive about them now. I have no clue how I'm going to do on the test. Maybe I'll get lucky this time. I understand how to do the questions but I over think them and end up with the wrong answer all the time. Test Reflection on Geometry

This unit was eaaaaaaasy. Learned some things that I didn't know before. For example I learned how to get other angles in a rhombus easier than the other hard ways. yes, ok well i was supossed to scribe a while ago but I'm computer illiterate so i never figured out how to get a stupid picture on here until now. Anyways here we go,

Question on the left:

ok so the first thing you do with this is 2x -9 = x +5

add 9 to both sides ---- > +9= x +5 + 9

-------------------

now becomes---> 2x= x + 14

the next step is to get the x's on the same side

bring the x on the right to the left. ----> 2x = x + 14

-x = -x

-------------------

now your equation becomes -----> 2x - x = 14

______________

the x is already by itself ------> x = 14

ok so now lets move on to the question on the right.

so the first thing you do is add it all together.

--> 3x + 10 +7x + 70

becomes --> 10x + 80

ok so we know the rhombus is supplementary so it should add up to 180.

--> 10x + 80 = 180

what is x?

bring 80 to the other side--> 10x = 180 - 80 <-- because the value becomes negative

--> 10x = 100

-->divide both sides by 10

and you get x = 10

so now that we know x is 10 we can apply it to the equation

3(10) + 10

30 + 10 = 40 <--this is the angle so that must mean 7x + 70 is 140 because it has to equal 180.
